Criteria for new Clients
We look for Maine based nonprofits that are passionate about improving their operations, serving more Maine people and working collaboratively with other nonprofits to address the big picture challenges facing our state. Potential client organizations must be healthy and have a strong track record of results and a demonstrated potential to have a significant, large scale impact on social problems that effect Maine's economy as well as the lives of Mainers.
Most importantly, management and board must have a true desire to accomplish much more and be enthusiastic about making changes in the way they "do business" in order to serve more clients, increase their results and use funding even more effectively. It is important that a potential client understand that our work together implies change and growth.
We find that groups that are at least five years old and have a budget of at least $700,000 are best able to take advantage of a Common Good Ventures relationship.
We are very interested in nonprofits that are engaged in serious, on-going collaboration or networks to accomplish their missions.
