Chris Speh

Chris's wry sense of humor, keen curiosity and thoughtful approach to information gathering add much to the volunteer work he does on behalf of Common Good Ventures. A careful listener, Chris asks lots of questions, and whether it is a Springboard session or acting as a Business Advisor for a nonprofit project, his questions invariably result in "aha" moments for those he assists. Munira Naqui and Chris make a particularly effective team. When acting as Business Advisors on a project with Hospice of Southern Maine, Chris and Munira consulted with one another between meetings, comparing notes and determining how their combined experience could strengthen the input they provided.

Chris has an MBA from the University of North Carolina, participates actively on nonprofit boards in Maine and elsewhere and co-founded Resource Solutions, Inc., a pharmaceutical trials provider in North Carolina. His varied and extensive experience includes automating 25 embassies and consulates for the U.S. Department of State, serving as Chief Financial Officer at Clinical Research International, Inc. and teaching Corporate Finance and Philosophy of Business at colleges in North Carolina. He currently serves on the BioTech Board of the Maine Technology Institute and most recently was elected Chair of Maine Angels, angel investment group.
