Munira Naqui

Munira's humorous and revealing anecdotes from her for-profit experiences graphically portray the hazards of investing in inadequate and ill-advised IT platforms to our nonprofit partners, as do her cautionary tales about hiring under-qualified IT staff.

Before taking time off to be with her children, Munira worked for large companies like Procter & Gamble and Sappi Paper helping their IT divisions and business drivers communicate and get what they needed from each other. Common Good Ventures asked Munira to advise an affiliate nonprofit partner, Hospice of Southern Maine, on an IT communications and data storage solution to track vital and changing patient and family information for staff and volunteers.

Although Munira Naqui will tell you she's currently "on sabbatical," in addition to her work with Common Good Ventures she volunteers with the Shaker community in Poland, Maine helping them archive their historical collection online.
