- Andrew Watt, President

Andrew (Drew) Watt joined Common Good Ventures in July 2008, bringing an extensive background in hands-on consulting and professional services management. As President, Drew works with the Board of Directors to set strategy for the organization and oversees the operations of the CGV team. In addition, Drew works directly with CGV partners on technology, operations, and governance issues. He started his career in The Gambia, West Africa working first as a Peace Corps Volunteer and then with The Gambia’s Ministry of Agriculture doing socio-economic research and implementing administrative and technology improvements. After earning his MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago he spent the next 15 years in systems integration consulting, mostly with CGI, Inc. (formerly American Management Systems). His consulting work included directing large, complex projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of state-level child welfare, child abuse protection, and similar systems in New York City, Ohio, Alabama, Rhode Island and Connecticut. At CGI he was promoted to Vice President and managed their public sector work for the State of New Jersey before moving to Maine in 2007. Drew also has a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan.
- Lynne Boyd, Executive Assistant & Office Manager
Lynne ensures that the day-to-day operations of Common Good Ventures run smoothly including managing event logistics, coordinating Springboard sessions, and providing many other vital services to support CGV staff, board members and our Partners. She came to CGV with over ten years experience as an administrative assistant and office manager, including working for the Muskie School’s Institute for Public Innovation, the Family Planning Association of Maine and NFI North/ Sidney Secured Residential Program. Lynne has an AS Degree in Office Administration from Thomas College in Waterville and a passion for working in mission driven organizations helping to bring about social change.
- Barbara Irish, Managing Director
Barbara Irish is a seasoned organizational development professional, facilitator and coach who most recently was a vice president and senior consultant for the North American group of Comparison International. Prior to building her consulting practice she spent twenty-five years in the retail service industry as a human resource professional and Vice President at Hannaford. Her expertise includes designing and delivering large system change initiatives and leading the integration of significant mergers of organizations as well as multi-day workshop design, small and large group facilitation, and focus group design and facilitation. She has five years collegiate studies in the field of behavioral communication with an emphasis on intra and interpersonal, small group, team, functional, and organizational communication and dynamics. She is a certified professional for several institutes and techniques including Open Space Technology, National Training Laboratories, National Multicultural Institute and others.
- Diane Oberbeck, Knowledge Resources Manager
Diane brings eighteen years of experience as an operations manager and business information specialist to her work with Common Good Ventures. As Senior Operations Manager with Responsive Database Services in Beachwood, Ohio, she led a 35-member team to an early and successful launch of Business & Industry Database, the premier product of this start-up company. Previous to her time at RDS Diane managed the library at Predicasts, online business database publisher, where she was responsible for high-volume serials processing and document delivery services. She provided business reference and research services at RDS and Predicasts as well as at Ernst & Young's national office library. More recently she has worked with nonprofits National Patient Safety Foundation in Chicago and Center for Cultural Exchange in Portland doing knowledge and database management. Diane's MA in library science and her BA are from the University of Wisconsin.
- Chad Sclove, Managing Director
Chad works with Common Good Ventures’ nonprofit partners, helping them create the most impact with their resources through a disciplined, analytic and fact-based approach to their most important strategic decisions. He is a 2003 graduate of Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business where he helped found the Center for Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship, including design of a Fuqua Executive Education Program in the social service sector. During this time, he worked with several nonprofits to launch new and refine existing revenue generating enterprises supportive of their missions. He also developed a framework to analyze trade-offs between social goals and financial returns for a venture capital fund investing in low-income areas and environmentally responsible products. Prior to attending business school, Chad was with Monitor Consulting in Cambridge, MA where he worked as a Decision Support Consultant and a Strategic Market Research Consultant. He worked with both domestic and international clients designing business tools and models to promote growth and analyze profitability of product lines, as well as on market research and brand strategy projects.
- Anne Verrill, Business Advisor Director
Anne Verrill recruits and deploys our growing pool of talented volunteer Business Advisors, helping our team identify opportunities and bring in external expertise, experience, and resources to meet specific needs of Common Good Ventures' partners, affiliate partners, and Springboard participants. She brings a wide-ranging background to her work at CGV, including serving as vice president for external affairs at Sweetser and as vice president at Fleet Investment Group. At Fleet, Anne was a primary account manager who used an in-depth understanding of the business needs of her customers to bring them the right mix of products, services, and advising offered by different parts of the bank. Anne's clients ranged from small businesses to some of the largest companies in Maine. She currently serves as a board member for the Center for Grieving Children and is a former board member of Sweetser, and Maine Children's Cancer Program.
