Bo Norris

Bo joined the Common Good Ventures Board in June of 2006 bringing a unique background in large and small business as well as in nonprofit governance. He has been instrumental in the formation of the Environmental Funders Network (EFN), an organization set up to provide educational opportunities for, and to encourage networking and collaboration among, donors, funders, nonprofits and others interested in protecting Maine's natural environment; he is currently on their steering committee.

Through his work with EFN as well as serving on many nonprofit boards, Bo has come to see the need for CGV's work and the similarity of his approach and CGV's to overcoming inefficiencies and overlaps in the nonprofit world.

    • Bo's love of the outdoors inspired him to become a Co-Founder and President of Borealis Yurts which he operated from 1989 to 2000. In addition he has worked for the Maine Chapter of The Nature Conservancy and the Northern Forest Center. He has served on the Board of Directors of Lennox International, Inc,, a global designer, manufacturer and marketer of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment since 2001, serving on the Governance, Pension and Risk and Public Policy Committees.
